It's been a little quiet here, as I've been away at PAX Australia with my family, as well as working on Literarium. Goodreads put together an infographic about what makes people put down a book. I won't deny them the link by reposting the image here, so check it out on their site (link below). Interesting take aways for me? People put down books because of bad editing or weak writing, but most because the story is slow or boring. Not sure how to capitalise on that yet though. Is it just shorthand for 'the plot didn't move' or is it short for 'I just didn't get it so I was bored'.
