Monday Markets - Goldfish Grimm Mag

Goldfish Grimm Magazine is looking for flash fiction and short fiction genre submissions:

In our search for fiction which brings something new to our readers, we are particularly intrigued by stories featuring traditionally under-represented groups, settings and cultures. Well-written stories featuring women, people of color, QUILTBAG characters, the elderly, characters with disabilities, etc. are always a welcome sight when reviewing submissions. Goldfish Grimm’s also encourages diversity in the authors we publish: stories are accepted for publication regardless of the author’s prior publication credits, sex, gender, race, religion, ethnicity, or other personal characteristics. We encourage authors from outside the US and those who do not typically work within the field of speculative fiction to submit stories which they believe might fit in here at Goldfish Grimm’s.

They accept Fantasy and Science Fiction stories from 100 to 7,500-words, publishing two stories a month (one flash, one regular).

Preferred length for longer stories is somewhere between 3,000 and 5,000 words. We don’t accept reprint, simultaneous, or multiple submissions.

They pay $10 for flash, and $25 for longer stories.
