The Freshwater Review is The College of St. Scholastica's annual journal of literature and art. Published by students and faculty, the journal showcases poetry, fiction, photography, and fine art produced by members of the CSS community. Although it is an annual publication it seesm they have a single available slot each for prose, poetry and art, so it's structured a little more like a competition. But this is a no-fee competition, and it pays quite well.
They're looking for (I presume literary pieces). You can send up to 5 each of prose, poetry and art. The written work is up to 2000 words, and the best of each category wins $250USD and publication (note: poetry markets rarely pay this well).
You have until Feb 15 to submit, so dig up some of those poems!
