Monday Markets - Three Crows Magazine (via @magazinecrows)

There's a brand new just-starting-up market for speculative fiction: Three Crows Magazine:

We at Three Crows want your stories set in dark, weird, and gritty fantasy, horror, and sci-fi setting, with complex characters making morally ambiguous decisions. Think of a lovechild of Andjei Sapkowski, Naomi Novik, Joe Abercombie, Geroge R.R. Martin, H.P. Lovecraft, and China Mieville.

Note however that:

  • Slavic folklore and setting are of highest priority

They're only new, so are paying $25USD/story (note, magazines-that-don't-pay-writers, that even just a token payment shows that your magazine values its content creators). Fiction up to 4,000 words is being considered, and although they are generally open to submissions, if you want to be considered for Issue 1 you need to get your submission in by Aug 22, 2018.

Note also that they're accepting work in English, Ukrainian, Polish, Russian, and German!
